To implement the ideology of Pakistan purported by Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal, to promote an enhanced relationship of this nation with its ideology and for no ‘other’ purposes.
Be it enacted by General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani and the Armed Forces of Pakistan as a Representation of the Will of the People of Pakistan.
SECTION 1: TITLE

This ancient quote comes to mind after witnessing the latest run of CIA imposed democracy in Pakistan. The old crooks back with gloss and glitter. The biggest crook getting the biggest prize, the Presidency, the rest of the goons settling for ministries and cabinet posts. The humble people of Pakistan were mesmerized by the media into welcoming these crooks back into power. Pakistan Sovereignty Act 2009

Once passed, the President of Pakistan will have to certify in January of every year that his government has not entered into any understandings with foreign governments that violate national interest including, among other things, permitting them to interfere in appointments and promotions inside the Pakistani armed forces.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—In an apparent tit for tat to the Kerry-Lugar Act, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Wasim Sajjad has submitted a bill in the upper house, mandating annual presidential certification to parliament to preserve, protect and assert the sovereignty and honor of Pakistan.
“There are many forces, both inside and outside the country, bent on weakening the defence of Pakistan, thereby endangering its sovereignty and integrity,” Wasim Sajjad said in a statement of objects and reasons of the bill to be called the “Pakistan Sovereignty Act 2009”, a copy of which was exclusively provided to The News. It said a vulnerable economic situation was being used to force Pakistan into taking steps that were not in the national interest, and it was therefore necessary to enact this law. US asks Pakistan to mediate with Taliban

As the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates, increasing numbers of reports say that Washington has urged Islamabad to mediate in direct talks with the Taliban.
According to the reports, the US has asked Pakistan to pave the way for bringing Taliban elders to the table for one-on-one talks.
“In her recent visit to Pakistan… the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, met top political and military leadership of the country and ‘talks with the Taliban’ was on the top of her agenda”, a senior Pakistani official, who requested that his name be withheld, told Press TV’s Nasir Kazmi in Islamabad on Friday.
The move comes days after Mike Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, gave a gloomy assessment of the security situation in Afghanistan, describing it as “serious and deteriorating”. Read the rest of this entry »
